Chaparral High School, located in Parker, Colorado, was operating with an underpowered and aging sound system that struggled to deliver clarity, coverage, and impact during sporting events and assemblies. The existing equipment lacked intelligibility, proper speaker protection, and consistent coverage across both the home and visitor bleachers. The goal was to create a system that would provide every seat in the gym with high-quality audio while delivering the power and reliability needed for high-energy events.

Equalized Productions designed and installed a fully upgraded system centered around EAW QXi main speakers, JBL AE series court speakers, and JBL AB subwoofers to deliver strong, controlled low-end performance. The system is powered by PowerSoft amplifiers and managed through an Allen & Heath AHM processor, providing advanced control and flexibility. We also relocated the equipment rack from a confined closet space and consolidated peripheral equipment to improve airflow, organization, and long-term reliability.

Beyond sound quality, usability was a key priority. The new system features simplified touchscreen interfaces and iPad control, allowing multiple operators to easily manage the system through preset configurations for sporting events, assemblies, and special programs. Completed over Winter Break 2025, the upgrade now delivers concert-grade sound, improved intelligibility, increased bass impact, and consistent coverage throughout the gym. The result is a powerful, reliable audio solution built to support Chaparral High School’s events for years to come.
