Recording & Mastering

It's always that time of the season to cut an album for all your family to cherish your talent forever. Or, if you're a recording artist, a professional demo album is only a couple of sessions away. Or maybe you want an album mass produced. Well, search no further, because we have got what you are looking for.

Here at Equalized Studio A, we offer the ability to record and master an album just the way you want it. If you're new at the game, contact us and request to sit in on other client's sessions to determine how you would like to record and/or master.

How we record you:

Our studio allows you to lay down tracks individually or up to 8 tracks simultaneously in 3 different formats for a total of 24 tracks in analogue or 172 tracks in digital. Those 3 formats are ADAT, 1/4" reel to reel, 2" reel to reel upon special request, and a complete digital Pro Tools or Cubase digital I/O interface.

The Analog process:

We start by recording the tracks flat and unaltered onto ADATs. Then, we compile and layer effects, either digital or outboard analog after we import to Pro Tools or Cuebase. We then compile to Sound Forge at 24bit digital 196,000kbs. Then we edit final post-production mastering playback to then import digitally with fiber-optic transport at 24bit 92,000kbs to mini-disc and/or CD to send to the duplication plants or to you depending on your needs once the material is completed.

The Digital process:

The full digital process is the same as the above analogue process with the difference that we record directly to Pro Tools and/or Cuebase directly.

If you have already recorded, and need someone to master your album, give us a shot at sweetening your sounds. We can get you the quality and the desired sound you're looking for.
